October is National Pizza Month

Pizza may be the best thing since sliced bread – probably because it’s covered in rich sauce, yummy toppings, and gooey melted cheese.

In fact, Americans love pizza so much that they consume 350 slices per second (or 30,240,000 slices per day), 94% of Americans eat pizza at least once a month (40% eat it once a week), and order 3 billion pizzas per year.

If you’re craving a slice or two, you’re in luck: October is National Pizza Month. To help you celebrate we’ve rounded up some of the tastiest slices you can find in the Tampa area.

BONUS: You can get to these local treasures on the Selmon Expressway!
