NEWS ALERT: TRAFFIC SHIFT SCHEDULED FOR SELMON EXPRESSWAY THIS WEEKEND

On Friday, November 16, 2018, from 7 pm – 6 am, the west end of the Selmon Expressway will be closed and travelers will need to exit the Expressway at Bay to Bay Boulevard.

From Saturday, November 17 – Sunday, November 18, 2018, the WESTBOUND Gandy Boulevard exit will also be closed from 7 pm – 6 am. It will be OPEN for traffic during the daytime. The exit to EASTBOUND Gandy Boulevard will remain closed during this time for crews to conduct a traffic shift. A graphic is included to show the new traffic pattern.

The Selmon Expressway’s exit to eastbound Gandy Boulevard will open for traffic by Monday, November, 19 at 6 am.

Also, the on-ramp to the Selmon Expressway from eastbound Gandy Boulevard will be closed on Sunday from 12 am – 5 am for repaving. Drivers will need to access the Expressway on N. Dale Mabry behind Target.

In an effort to keep the construction crews and the traveling public safe, we want to remind motorists that the posted construction speed limit is 45 miles per hour. Speed enforcement will be in place in the signed construction zones. The fine for speeding in a construction zone is double the amount of a regular ticket.
